Shadow of the Moon
Another submission for June’s Theme Challenge. Inspiration struck during a seminar, but I had to wait until I got home in the evening to finish it.
Shadows in the Sand
This month’s theme challenge is particularly intriguing for me; so many possibilities and impressions and ideas…I can’t wait to see what other people come up with!
Mint
Orbit gum currently comes in the most intriguing package with all manner of pleasing shapes and shades of green. Whenever I finish a pack, I find myself playing around with the cardboard, trying to do something artistic and interesting with it; I finally got something I liked well enough to glue into my molie.
Tree of Life
I was just messing around with my different shades of brown micron pen the other night and this page is the result.
Work In Progress
I’m not sure if this one is done or not; I go back and forth on it. It started as a collection of interesting stamps and labels. I had no idea there were so many variations of camel cigarettes…I’ve seen at least five distinct packages over the last few weeks and the variety intrigues me.
Flowers From Josh
Out with friends one evening, I was given a small twig of flowers to put in my hair. I liked them so much, I pressed them in my little molie when I got home and then decided I liked how they looked there and glued them in (I’m also hoping to use them as the subject for a sketch in the near future).
Small Friend
While I was sketching a bottle of Newcastle on a deck overlooking the river, this little insect landed on my arm and just stayed there for several minutes. Once I finished the Newcastle sketch, I switched over to sketching this little one; at which point, it flew away for parts unknown.
Paper Patterns
I ordered two new moleskine pocket sketchbooks directly from the company’s website and they arrived wrapped neatly in brown paper with this sticker keeping the package closed. I liked it, so I used it as the focal point for a simple patterned page.
