Another sketch from Northern Michigan, this time in black ink.
Visiting with some old friends at a cabin in Northern Michigan, I found myself with a little time to just relax and draw what was around me. One of the subjects that presented itself was a birdhouse (in truth, a squirrel house) hung on a tall, thin pine tree near the window.
Pages from the End of May
After an unintended break from sketching due to life getting in the way, I’ve had a chance to pick up my pen and pocket molie and do a little playing around again.
A close friend is expecting with her second pregnancy. She waited until seventeen weeks to share the news because her first pregnancy ended in miscarriage last year. I did this sketch as a bit of a celebration for her from her seventeen-week picture (she’s been taking a picture each week to document the pregnancy as it goes along).
Four Seasons (Lotuses and Dreams)
I recently received a set of Prismacolor art markers and I have been exploring the various things I can do with them.
Flame of Self Discovery (In Molecular Graphene)
A sort-of collage page in my sketchbook ‘Chronicle.’
Walk in the Rain
The next page in my 2013 Sketchbook Project book. I happened to be out on a walk along the river when a sudden thunderstorm caught me by surprise and left me quite cold and soaked by the time I made it back to my car.
