barbed wire will always make me think of the Berlin Wall and the death strip behind it. Childhood memories, not of the pleasant cozy kind.
I saw this today and thought it would fit the “Deadly Lines” theme challenge, so I sketched it.

Monday’s sketch of the day – another out of my head scene, some ephemera dancing in the moonlight, and uhm, mushrooms. Graphite pencil.

Sketch-a-day for Thursday: apple pie (sketch first, eat later). Also called Peeta and the Warped Perspective. O well. It’s an EXERCISE.

In a continuation of yesterday’s fireside doodle (ahem – CONCEPTUAL SKETCH), this is the Fool’s Friend. Or at least an early version of him (next time I think he won’t be wearing a silly swim suit)

another free fall fantasy doodle, for another painting I’m working on. Need to develop the figures I was going to put into it, this one is the Fool. He needs to cross that vertiginous bridge, but he’s oh so afraid of heights.

sketch of the day today: a doodle out of my head for a change. Needed to get my head around a painting I’m working on, it’s inspired by Ursula Le Guin’s “Earthsea” stories. This is the main character, Ged, summoning the spirit of legendary Queen Elfarran by magic, and releasing a dangerous Shadow into the world. (they are very awesome books btw).

sketch-a-day part 4: actually I did a little stack of sketches today as it was life drawing night. This was quite a pose to keep up for 20 minutes!
