Taken from my diary of a recreation of the book ‘Three men in a boat’, which took place in Aug 2007 with two friends. We spent a week rowing from Oxford to London (the reverse direction from that in the book, as the current was too strong that way).

This is a pencil drawing of the 120 year old wooden rowing boat, ‘Clare’, that was our home for the week.
