2010Aug 3Had a bit of a break in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. It was good to relax and get away from work for a while. This is St Catherine’s Island, a small island linked to the beach at low tide. The island is home to a Palmerston fort, constructed to protect Pembroke Dock and completed in 1870. In 1907, the island was sold privately for 500 pounds. Apparently at one time the fort was used as a zoo. Unfortunately it’s fenced off now and you can’t get on the island.

2010Jul 7This is the other beigel shop on Brick Lane. Two doors down from the one I posted yesterday. Apparently it’s Britains first and best, but I’ve not tried them so couldn’t say. I’ll have to pop in next time I’m around there.

2010Jul 6Had a wandered about in the sun on Saturday and had a look in a few galleries. Modern Toss, is definitely worth a visit if you get the chance, it’s on until 11th July. Stopped off for lunch at this beigel shop on Brick Lane just around the corner. Had their salt beef beigel, and very nice it was.
