2010Jun 29I’m training self to see and “draw” in a new way: looking for shapes, masses and value rather than lines. I did this with no pencil outlines, and took my glasses off, thus eliminating detail from my vision (!). Used pan pastels on a sponge-covered palette knife and a kneaded earaser. These materials prevent me from falling into the habit of making lines and filling them in.
