“Gouache is French for Bitchy Medium” – Syd Mead
This is my first real attempt at painting a portrait with traditional medium. Moleskine pages are great for nearly every way of markmaking!! The one on the left is a self-portrait.

I study design in Munich. There are some characters there!! I love to draw the people who are giving lectures, because you have so much time to observe them. This piece was drawn with colored pencils in my A5 Moleskine.

There’s nothing more rewarding than drawing people and everything from life (but especially people!!). It strenghtens your observational skills and your “eye” for the specialities life has to offer. Do this as often as you can. You also train your visual library!
