Another letter from the Alphabet Series in my Moleskine Sketchbook. I used a Tombow black roll pen. I was feeling a bit OCD when I did this, can you tell?
The letter “J” from the Alphabet Series in my Moleskine Sketchbook. Acrylic paint was applied with a roller for the background, which gave the pages a texture similar to a find stucco. White pen was used for the white areas.
This is the letter “E” from an Alphabet Series I created in a Moleskine Sketchbook. I wanted to play with negative space and the book format, so I ended up with a mirror image. I liked the way the pattern rubbed onto the left facing page, so I burnished the pages when they were closed to pick up the pattern on the left. I used a fixative when i was finished to keep the black “E” from soiling the white “E”. More letters at: http://www.journalingarts.wordpress.com.
When spring comes, so do the Paeonies. I couldn’t resist painting one in my large Moleskine Watercolor Notebook. I used watercolor and markers, most of the painting was done with a Tombow blender marker.
