2010Oct 12tags: Banyan | Sri-Lanka | treeI have always been fascinated by the creativity of Nature, specifically in Asia, where banyans can grow so widely. This one is in Polonnaruwa (பொலனாறு) , the ancient cinghalese city. Since the track was narrow and busy, i could not really stop. I took a snapsshot and draw it later. I used a brush pen (Pentel) and a black Hardcover plain Moleskine Notebook (192 pages)

2010Oct 8tags: Oxcart in Sri Lanka (Aug 2010)I made a quick drawing of this oxcart in Sri Lanka on my Moleskine (Plain black hard cover Notebook 192 pages) on site which i finished in the plane back to France (FaberCastell pen and Winsor & Newton watercolour). The Chief Cabin Crew came and had a quick chat with me on the pleasure of drawing asking me how to find time to draw even in the busiest days. I gave him a few reasonable advices and he was kind enough as to offer Champagne to me and my whole family… though we were traveling in economy class
