Everything is white and snow covered here. Little bits of color really stand out on a sunny day.
Here’s my entry for the January Challenge. Wasn’t easy to come up with something, so after watching “James and the Giant Peach” I went with this.
Watercolor, had a dream I was fishing in a swamp and had a run-in with a curious gator. So I was inspired to paint one.
This is another painting from when I was in Tucson in April. Things were beginning to bloom in the desert and I was amazed at the colors! I wish I had more time there.
This is from a pic I took while I was out in Tuscon last spring. I drove up Mt Lemmon and hiked around the rocks and saw this twisted mesquite bush growing out of the rocks. I snapped a pic and just not got around to painting it. I used a #3 Micron pen and watercolor for this one.
