I haven’t drawn much for months, but we’re planning a trip to Paris this year, and I can’t imagine not drawing while we’re there, so I wanted to get back into the habit.

I’m getting better at drawing faces, even if I did draw the mouth of the woman on the right too deep, making her look a bit like Jack Nicholson’s Joker. Sorry, ma’am, but a few months ago you would have looked more like a “Simpsons” character. Trust me, this is better.

This is Washington Post institution Ben Bradlee, drawn with a Faber-Castell pen from the cover photo of his book, “A Good Life.” Break time ended before I finished, but I kinda like it this way. I’m oddly pleased with the teeth.
