First page of a brand-new Moleskine.
I’m getting better at drawing faces, even if I did draw the mouth of the woman on the right too deep, making her look a bit like Jack Nicholson’s Joker. Sorry, ma’am, but a few months ago you would have looked more like a “Simpsons” character. Trust me, this is better.

2009Feb 12tags: pen and inkThis is Washington Post institution Ben Bradlee, drawn with a Faber-Castell pen from the cover photo of his book, “A Good Life.” Break time ended before I finished, but I kinda like it this way. I’m oddly pleased with the teeth.
The upper left-hand corner of the page was chewed by my dog some time ago.
