Claire de Lune coffee shop, San Diego. Fountain pen with water, and watercolor.
I used watercolors for the green plants in the lower left corner. For everything else I used a fountain pen whose ink would run when water was added. I would put down lines with the fountain pen and then use a waterbrush to go over those lines and create the values and shapes I wanted.
