Esta imagen fue captada en Venecia en una tarde con una luz extraordinaria, con una alegría y movimiento de gaviotas maravillosa y con un viento que hacia reventar pequeñas olas sobre el muelle, ya que el nivel del agua estaba prácticamente al nivel del piso provocando el vaivén de las gondolas.

La iglesia de San Carlos Borromeo de Viena o Karlskirche es una de las más espectaculares creaciones de esta época del arte. La construcción de Fischer von Erlach (1656- 1723), edificada entre 1716 y 1737, recoge el simbolismo del Barroco y lo mezcla con la tradición austríaca de los Habsburgo. El arquitecto aprovechó su larga estancia en Italia para empaparse también de la obra de Bernini y Borromini, de manera que cuando realiza esta obra tardía conoce lo mejor de la arquitectura de su época. (Este edificio fue encargado por el emperador Carlos VI, que había prometido su construcción si acababa la peste del año 1713).
San Carlos’ church Borromeo of Vienna or Karlskirche is one of the most spectacular creations of this epoch of the art. Fischer von Erlach’s construction (1656-1723), built between 1716 and 1737, gathers the symbolism of the Baroque and mixes it with the Austrian tradition of the Hapsburg. The architect took advantage of his long stay in Italy to soak also in the work of Bernini and Borromini, so that when it realizes this late work it knows the better of the architecture of his epoch. (East building belonged entrusted by the emperor Carlos VI, who had promised his construction if it was ending the pest of the year 1713).
