Luke Skywalker & Tiobaldo

I did this sketch last week. It is based on this image by Ilya Sivov:

I thought I’d upload an animated gif showing my progress starting with pencil, moving on to outlining and final inking. What I like about Ilya’s images is his large use of darkness. I decided I need to use more black and hence picked this image to work on. The smoke defining the top of the image is cool too.

Super Scribblenauts

I sketched this while at a soccer game last week on my small moleskine. I inked it this evening.

I tackled this sketch while I was at violin camp with my daughters. It is based Scholar’s Tower by jdillon82. It took 2 days to pencil and 2 days to ink.

This image required 2 perspective points to keep the image accurate. I adjusted a few elements to keep them in line with the perspective. This was much more technical than it appears upon first glance. I had a lot of fun inking this.
