Retired
7″ x 7″ Watercolor and graphite on Bienfang 140lb cp pad
By Kirby

I didn’t have a moleskine large enough to do this painting so I resorted to an old watercolor pad I had. I tried to lay the colors down Reid style but I ended up doing over washes here and there. Now I know what makes his painting style and him such a great artist.

This is an old VW bus about 1970 model. It belongs to my grandfather who used it as a bus to shuttle people from city to city in Mississippi. He called it the Pass-point bus line and had Pass-Point painted on the top side of the bus. I can still be seen. Unfortunately the bus has been out of service for quite some time and its parked next to our sycamore tree. Hopefully in the future it can be brought back to life.
