This self portrait was drawn for moly_x_portrait8, http://mxportraits8.blogspot.com/. I do love to swim, but 6am is a tough habit for me to get into. It won’t get any easier with winter coming, dark mornings and freezing temps. There is, however, nothing like the clean, cozy feeling after a good swim.
Brush and ink. Initial line drawing in Adobe Illustrator.

Oh I like this! What a great way to capture a portrait. The loose, casual lines for the water is really nice. I used to swim laps at 6:00am before work, I loved it.

You stopped?
I have a hard time keeping that morning schedule. Late nights of freelance work can kill the momentum.

You certainly don’t look happy in the water. Love the ink strokes. Did you make it by adobe? How do you get the lines on the Moleskine?

I draw them in Illustrator, print it on Cahier paper, use spray adhesive to paste it into the book. Cahier paper is much more receptive to wet media.
