This was a sketch of a train depot. I was headed to a friends house to do some landscaping, odd job, and I had about an hour to kill. So I remember about this train depot I was wanting to do for a while. It was very hot that day and with the ac not working in the car I had to opend the doors to cool off. Next time I do something like this I bringing a stool or chair, lol. I sketched the building with a Techliner black marker, .3mm which I really like. They come in different sizes .1 to .5mm. I was able to do the whole building within an hour but had no time to lay down my watercolors so I had to take a photo. I finished it at the house. It took about an hour to do the watercolors. You must think I’m daft but I’ve just posted a reply on flickr in answer to your comment you kindly put there. I said that there was a website call Skineart which you might want to look at. It was only when I looked at this that your name rang a bell. Its seems that you have already found your way here, which is great news for the rest of us. Please excuse me. I’m getting old(er)!
As to this submission, I agree with Rose that this scene is lovely work. I adore trying to paint buildings and, when they are surrounded by trees, so much the better. You have a lot of great artwork on flickr. I’m sure us moleskinners would love to see some of them. Regards, Bob McDowall
