  The second in my Darwin series, this time a mountain gorilla. Again, the painting was done in a Moleskine sketchbook using micron pens and gouache.

  I like both of these very much but I think this one better. Well I think yesterday I might have prefered that one. I think they’re really great. If you do a baboon I think you should show both the colorful butt and face though. The butt would just be more important on THAT ONE.

  Glad you like them. I’m going to post paintings of chimps, bonobos, gelada baboons and mandrills as well as Darwin himself in the next few days. I like the idea of doing a baboon with face and butt, I’ll give that a go!
