Here’s another creek. In this hot weather it’s wonderful to dip my toes into water that’s still cold from snow run-off, although the toes still turn blue. By late August the water will be warm enough for swimming, and then by September a lot of the creeks will be dried up until we get the next rain in about November—if we are lucky.

Thanks for your comment Boulgakow. As for rocks, they are actually very difficult to draw and paint and it’s taken me years of practice to finally get them sort of looking like they should. But sometimes they still look like old baked potatoes instead of rocks.
