This poor butterfly was stunned by my car when I accidentally hit it. So while it was in that state I drew it. I just HATE it when my car hurts any sort of creature, and I hovered over this one until it was all right and flew away again.

The background is just line work with a Pigma Micron pen .01 size. I decided to leave it black and white so the butterfly will have prominence.
What I have found interesting in observing nature is that even though all these butterflies look the same, when you really look at them you will notice that their markings are all just a tad different, just like our fingerprints. I find that to be true of almost everything in nature. Each creature or leaf or plant is totally unique, just like snowflakes. But it takes careful looking to notice that.
