I haven’t seen actual snowcones in years. We do have something called “Italian Ice” in carts on the sidewalks here, but the ice is really finely cut up, and the cups are smallish, but REALLY GOOD on hot days.

Apparently snow cone, shave ice, and Italian ice are all the same. They definitely do the job for cooling off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_cone

This snow cone stand has at least 100 flavors, so have not and will not try them all. I can live without bubble gum flavored ice.

We used to have bubble gum flavored Slurpees. Then when I was in 4th grade Hubba Bubba put out bubblegum flavored SODA. I couldn’t figure why all of the adults looked disgusted. Now we know!
