My goal was to keep transparency in the shadows and still giving the feeling of darkness. I’m happy with this sketch.

The more I look at this the more I love it! I’d like to know what the blue is that you used for that ocean, and what brand, because it’s almost jewel-like. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a gorgeous blue.

Roseindigo, the blue is “French ultramarine” from Daler-Rowney, N°123. I use it a lot for, especially for the shadows.

Thanks. I will have to try it. I’m always looking for the “perfect” pigment for my flowers, and blue is one of those difficult ones. This one looks like it might fit.
