Seeking Sanctuary, from the sun, in his Mother’s Arms _ Watercolour in a A4 Watercolour Moleskine
This is my entry for this month’s challenge, the topic is “Sanctuary”. Moleskinners are invited to submit a post based on this title. It is hoped that this will encourage more folks to participate in the “Forums” section – more details of this month’s challenge can be found there (Theme challenge2.Jun08). You should be able to see all entries by clicking on one of the tags e.g. “Sanctuary” in order to compare everyone’s different interpretations or if you wish to vote for any. Thanks (I think) to Nick for coming up with this month’s title.

This is very sweet, especially the way mom is looking down at the child.

nicely done, and you never do people!

quick off the mark again Bob! looks like people are enjoying this? I am afraid when it comes to people I can make the most attractive people look really scary when I draw them! I wish I could do them as well as you have.

Matt! Correct! I never do people but this idea just came to me. Goes to show that anything is possible – even from me. Rose/Sophie the painting was inspired from an old photo of Margaret and our eldest when he was 6 months old (1977). Where has all the time gone? Nick – the only reason I was quick off the mark is that if I didn’t do it I would forget as my head is full of too many other things. Thanks all for taking the time to comment.
