A natural limestone rock tunnel. Sketched while hiking near the Pedernales River in central Texas
This is another WOW. Fabulous contrasts!
Another great picture love the use of colour.
Thanks, roseindigo and Nick. The sun was very bright so the shadows were an intense contrast on this day.
Susan, this is great with the eye being led into the “tunnel” where there is light at its end. Your painting looked very familiar and I realised that it seemed similar to one by David Bellamy, except he paints an arch eroded by the sea. I was going to put a copy on flickr but am unsure about copyright so other means must be found. I would not wish you to buy this book as it would cost about $35. Maybe a local library could help? His painting is “Rock Arch, Bullslaughter Bay” from “David Bellamy’s Coastal Landscapes – published by Collins ISBN 0 00 712176 8
