Well done Nick. Now there’s two of us! Your difficulties – I scan stuff at 300dpi and it seems to work although the size can be very close to the 1m limit. At first I thought that you were scanning too large a picture as this looks like a both sides of a large sketchbook but this shouldn’t cause a problem as my last couple of posts have been in an A4 Moly. I have always had problem with colour (except ink) on normal sketchbooks and that’s why I’m sticking to watercolour ones.

Thanks for the comment Rob
The watercolour pencils work fine its just I am a beginner with them and there appear to be a few wrinkles that I need to learn and a few I need to iron out!!
I have been using 300dpi, but as I say if I do a double page spread I have to keep reducing the file size in the save options in Photo shop and thus I think the quality goes down.[Thats my excuse!]
I have a watercolour book but my skill with watercolour paints is in its infancy I tend to paint as you would with acrylics or oils and get bogged down in detail, rather than suggesting things with a deft touch of colour or a mark here or there over washes. Its a learning curve about 10 years so far. oh to paint like David Bellamy! Why is that coastal landscape book of his so expensive?

This is great, Nick! I love the style of this, and your spin on the theme is unique. Well done!
All of the art I submit to sites online are 100 d.p.i. I like the viewing size. I don’t upload at 300 d.p.i. because it tends to slow down the loading sometimes, and also to help prevent unwanted reproductions.
