Nice drawing as usual, Rob. One wee question please. Yout earlier post showed a stork nesting in a rooftop. How do they cope with all of these wires? We have a debate, here in Scotland, about wind turbines and those opposed to them say birds might get injured. I’m quite ambivilent about these machines but suspect that birds have more sense than we give them credit for and can easily avoid the rotating blades. Keep us entertained with these smashing drawings. REgards Bob
Thanks, Bob. The storks live in Holzen, which is a village near our house- very few wires to cope with there. A friend had a stork fly into his van window while he was driving- another story… Hey, my wife took a picture of a drawing in a restaurant she saw in Dublin- it looked just like your style. Do you know about that?
I hope your friend was OK after such a large bird made contact. I’ve been in Dublin a few times but never left any paintings there. The only posts, of Dublin scenes, I have sent to this site were dated 23rd and 27th July 2008. I would be flattered if someone has “borrowed” these but am more flattered that you and your wife compare a picture of something resembling my “style”. Nice of you to remember what my stuff looks like. Regards again Bob

I really like this… especially how the detailed buildings create a frame for the sky and wires. Great composition. Who is Jack Wolfskin?

Thanks. Jack Wolfskin is the clothing store that is there. It does look kind of funny there, like a signature, but it’s how the sign actually looks.
