My first entry on my moleskine for the international maoleskine exchange (group 50) has to do with the figures I’ve been drawing for some time. Ilha do Ferro is a community in the interior of my home state, here in Brazil. I love these pieces that represent ex-votos (“milagros” in Spanish) and I am always adding new symbols to them. They are women figures and are so beautiful. These little statues are carved on wood and their dresses do not have these patterns. I love drawing various patterns to them. I am a kind of fashion stylist to these “women” :)
