Sketching art objects in our two elegant hotels here in Waikiki. Painted in acrylic
Linda. This seems good, to my untrained eye, because I have tried acrylics and found using them very hard. I have a drawer full of hardly used stuff, having moved onto pastures new.
If you dilute them, you can use them just like watercolor and they work better on the moleskine sketchbook paper.
do you dilute them with water or something else?? I’m trying them out so I want to lear as much as I can =)
I am speaking only about medium body acrylics…have not tried the heavy body kind. Yes, I dilute them with water and use them as watercolor on paper. But you can dilute them with a gloss/varnish medium and get a different result too. Main difference is the colors dry darker with acrylic and dry light with watercolor. Also they will never fade as you are using plastic.
Thanks!! I diluted mine with water and they work pretty fine =)All I need is practice now to be as good as you and everyone around here. Thanks again!
