  This is a nice drawing, the angle is interesting. Where did this art form orginate? I took a quick beach side class to make these in Hawaii.

  The ketupat is actually an Indonesian / Malay delicacy – rice steamed in the diamond-shaped wrapping made of weaved palm leaf. (I’m from the region )

  I had no idea these are for rice, they are beautiful as well as functional! This is a great sketch and thanks for including the wikipedia link.
