Another nice drawing but, there’s a surprise – Bamboo! I always thought this grew in Asia and the Far East (ie “our” Far East). Is this a different native Texan species?
I don’t think bamboo is a native to Texas. It is a very invasive plant that spreads voraciously through the root system. It’s very hardy (stays green in sub-freezing temperatures)and has no apparent predators. It’s sort of exotic for this area. Thanks for the comments!
It occurred to me that, if these wee, furry; black and white creatures were used for plant control then folk in the USA would become BAMBOOzled and this would cause PANDAmonium. Ouch! Sorry about that but it only took two days to think this up. A Happy New when it comes.

We have bamboo here in Atlanta, Georgia! But no pandas to keep it under control.

Very cozy drawing. I wish we can grow bamboo Upstate, on a Hunter mountain.
