I like this idea of you drawing someone painting a painting. Its almost as if this could continue forever with someone else sketching you drawing someone painting a painting. So well done. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Very very cool. I was in the kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna a few days ago and saw some artists copying originals like this- never thought to sketch them, though- great idea.

You do get around from one continent to the other.
Lovely sketch. Was this woman amused by you drawing her, or is it a regular occurrence at the Chicago Institute, long lines of people sketch the person in front of them.

What can I say, I like to travel.
That was an unexpected stop in Chicago when my plane from New Orleans was late, and since I had only my carry-on and was not prepared to walk around in the snow all day, I went to the museum.I regret not giving this lady my card, though I hope she might find her portrait online some day and be pleasantly surprised. She didn’t notice me drawing her, she was too busy with her painting. There were two more such painters- I posted the sketches here: http://rodia.livejournal.com/226368.html
