From three moleskines ago… my little girl and a monster. random drawings with micron pens.
Where, indeed, did the time go? Wished I had learned more to “sieze the moment”. My eldest son will be 33 years old next month yet I still imagine him, at times, as a wee boy. A nice sketch of “Pumkin”
Very few people are this good at pen and ink drawings. It’s hard to make things come alive with “crosshatching” like this but you always do a brilliant job. Have you ever seen the Blues musicians by R. Crumb? This is just as good.
Thanks Bob, my little girl is 19 and in college now.
Sophie thanks for the comment, when I was younger I would practice drawing like Crumb (no, not the nudie stuff). I have the Blues musicians, the Heroes of Jazz, and Country.
Great sketch, Joseph- you’re so good with those Microns. I know exactly what you mean, although my daughter is only 14. Merry Christmas.
I don’t have children and so that wasn’t my thought. I liked the guys face on the right. That’s what I meant by the portraits as you seem to be aware of the same artwork I was referring too.
