Nice seasonal drawing. I know that tradition means that children put their shoes out to receive presents but do some still put out wooden clogs or have I mixed this up with something else. My mother used to say that Sinterklaas is the forerunner of “Santa Claus” which started in the USA.

We invented wooden shoes for tourists. Yes, children put their shoes at the backdoor with carrots and brownbread for the horse, and expect candy in return. And yes, some of tradition of Sinterklaas was taken over by Santa Claus. I like the idea that traditions waver over the world and take different forms as they go.

And Coca-Cola influenced the look of the modern day Santa. This is really nice painting, so bright and happy.
