Winter Scene, Evening – Ink on a watercolour Moleskine
The temperature is about -4C in this scene which is almost tropical compared with the overnight low of -8C. This group of trees is well known, locally, for many badger sets but the clever wee devils are probably fast asleep, well underground. The doctors say I will probably regain the feeling in my legs in a few weeks when all of this snow will be a distant memory.

The mood of this really captures the feeling of cold. Very nice. Have you tried snow shoes?

Actually there is little snow left – at the moment, but the media tells us to brace ourselves for more blizzards overnight. If I give everyone the impression that I don’t like snow – I’m only kidding. It’s the accompanying cold I hate – must be getting old. If the weather forecast comes true I’ll be out with my camera tomorrow and, what a good idea, might try snow shoes

Ah Honolulu! Islands of sun kissed beaches, waving palm trees, blue skies and NAE SNAW. Thanks for taking the time to comment Linda.

It seems every day you’ve done something I like. This whole blog is like that. Instead of elephant jokes for the day I check out this site. This is good. But my very favorites are–the beech trees in Almondell Park (I even remember), this Christmas tree (maybe the very best) and these red squirrels. I thought, isn’t Bob creative, red squirrels instead of cardinals. Then I realized there may be “wee” red squirrels somewhere in the world. I found a digital camera that’s inexpensive. So after Christmas…You remind me of Winston Churchill. Who went around painting a lot. He was quite good.
