I go with Margie here – great composition with the street lantern put right in the center.
When I do sketches in public, people who walk by sometimes appear like they’d feel uncomfortable with ‘walking through my sketch’ (like in my latest) but this seems to differ from place to place. For example, in Berlin they don’t care – they still may stop by and just start to talk. How do people react in real small towns like the ones you sketch ?
Well, it depends. Some are suspicious that I’m writing down some information about their house or car. But most of the people are very friendly to me and some even stop by to talk. Kandern is very friendly to Americans. Some of the people invite into their house for tea and to show me something about their own artwork or show me a particular favorite angle they like. Thanks all!

I just love this kind of scenery. Who would not want to walk down this alleyway! Always enjoy seeing your work.

I love the composition! A lamp dead-center! You break the rules and it works!
