Creepy but a good drawing, loads of depth, really moves your eye around the page. The book sounds kind of grim. Have you thought about it from the practical joke angle? Might lighten the mood a little.

Why is this a horrible read?
This book became a film directed by Fernando Meirelles. I din´t watch yet, but i would like.
About your image, it is expressionist like Murnau and Robert Wiene, but 21 century great version.

Very nice art! Saramago is one of my favorite authors, I suppose you do not agree. Maybe you should try his newest book, “Death with Interuptions”.

It was one of the best books I ever read, I meant that some of the very vivid images he describes made my head&stomach spin. He is very cynical and at the same time optimistic about human nature, that makes the book a terrific read. Didn’t know about the film. And I’ll see if I can get hold of “death with interuptions”
