Thank you for your comments. You may like to know that this is black fountain pen ink and wash. This type of ink splits into those blue-greys and yellowy colours when diluted.
Intrigued, I went out this morning and got some fountain pen ink and am having a ball letting the stuff wander over wet surfaces or reducing it to softer hues with water. Thank you SIGUILD.
I am going to try to post something in one of the forums which might encourage others to share techniques. I hope you do not object to me using your last comment as an example.
Always good to try something different. The light fastness of fountain pen ink is no match for indian ink. If work is exposed to light for a long time it will all fade to light blue and pale yellow!

That’s the Craig Goch dam in the Elan Valley in Powys, Wales. Very nicely drawn and painted. Well done!

I like this a lot. The way you have used the background to add value to the tower is impressive. Well done.
