Dawn, Corstorphine Hill – Watercolour
I liked the sunrise adding loads of colour behind these beech trees.
Dawn
An angel, robed in spotless white,
Bent down and kissed the sleeping Night.
Night woke to blush; the sprite was gone.
Men saw the blush and called it Dawn.
Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872 – 1906)

Thank you Rose. I was pleased with this one as I really tried to include some details in the texture of the front tree to give the whole scene more depth. Sorry if this reminds you of yet more snow but remember that spring is not too far away

Actually the depth is what I noticed first, and then the lovely colors, so you have succeeded. This is such a lovely winter scene that I don’t even mind being reminded of more snow.
