It started out as a drawing of an praying mantis that went wrong fast. Then it got reckless with syringes, canned air, and gold ink. Then I got the idea to make it look like a jungle. Of course, I have never been to the tropics.

Very cool. What pain you were squirting from syringe? Ink? Acrylic? All this web of paint against the dark background looks interesting and brings to mind feeling of liberating yourself, fighting and climbing to the beautiful red freedom.

Thanks Nikira! I did the most damage with canned air (dust off) directed towards a wet puddle or single drop of transparent watercolors. The black and red helped to “pop out” the color burst, but that took forever to finish with ballpoint and .005 micron pens. I had in mind to establish a certain “particularity” for each tentacle. That is when it began to suggest jungle to me. I may add some Paul Gauguin native types to give it scale. Maybe BoboMonkey aliens would work too! LOL.
