Damaged Beech Tree – Study in Ink
Been in a bit of a rut recently so, when all else fails, go back to Almondell Park.
Workmen are still clearing up after last winter’s storm

and it looks as if this old favourite will be next for the chop. The top 30% was torn away and its only now that the foresters can get near it as masses of debris had to be cleared first.

Uncle, splash fall colors on this “study” with some joie de vivre the likes of which make me wish I had been born a Scot. That’s an idea to help bring you back from this rut you complain of. Remember, you folks are poets and warriors. My Father in law , an american born Scotsman was an inspiration and so are you. Get with it. You no doubt have seen what Rob Carey has just done. What more do you need?

Thanks greyseal. You are correct of course. We are awaiting the turning of the leaves here and, although our fall is normally a poor relation to the scenes we witnessed in Wisconsin last year, there should be something to “tickle the palette”. What I DO need is some snow so I can get to work on my “Brrrr” scenes. That will come later. Aye, if wishes were horses as the old song goes. We, cheekily, have saying here that says “There are only two types of people in this world. Scots – and those who would like to be”. Mind you I’m not too sure about the warrior/poet combination. There are many, I know, who would not tell the difference.
Have to agree with you comments about Rob’s work. Isn’t it inspirational?
