After the flood – Watercolour
The title sound like a bob Dylan number but this is meant to depict the River Almond, in Almondell Park after some of the heaviest rain in living memory. A severe downpour on July 4th raised the river’s level and she burst her banks in many places. Thankfully the floods have subsided somewhat and pools, like this one, are gradually giving up their water and returning it to the main river.

Beautiful work, Bob, rocks, shadows and very light water.

It was good fun doing this one, Nikira and I thank you for the kind words. Mind you, I’m getting a wee bit tired of the constant rain we have experienced over here. It was bad again yesterday. Who knows! Maybe there will be more opportunity for more “flood” paintings

Very pretty video. Even I understand your pain. I spent also rainy weekend Upstate indoors with Kindle, chips and ice cream( usually I don’t like ice cream, but 2 friends didn’t come, scared of weather). How Magnus going outside for cat’s business? Unless you also have a double Scottish umbrella for him?
