Julie Standing. Watercolor and pencil.
Tipton! Voodoo Child. You are forcing me to finish these figures in my minds eye. The problem is I can’t make up my mind. I see a different woman with each viewing. First blond, then brunet, then red, then chestnut, then… Devil genius, you did this on purpose! A firm handshake!
Really love your women paintings, you make their noses a bit puffy and red, it makes them somehow more human and sensual. Bravo!
Thanks Everyone! I really appreciate the support.
Greyseal – It’s always difficult to know when you’ve said to much in a drawing or not enough, so I’m glad that I seemed to have found a good balance in this one.
Nikira – These drawings are relatively small so adding red to the nose really gets it to “pop” in a tiny amount of space. I’m happy that it worked.
