I started this drawing with drawing an underpass in the top left corner, and went clockwise drawing without any basic idea or goal. Suddenly I noticed what I drew was referring back to J.G. Ballards book “crash”.
Lamy fountainpen with chinese Hero ink, washed out with waterbrush.

Do you often find your reading influencing your drawing?

Yes, I often draw an image that keeps sticking after I finished a book, but only if it catches me. I read Crash in my youth, and reread it early last year. Some book have the power to deliver images that stay with you forever.
