My garden under snow – Watercolour with some acrylic
Its been a mixed winter so far with some snow falls which don’t last as wind and rain soon shifts the stuff. As we tend to get our heaviest falls at the start of the year perhaps this is still to come. Come to think of it, that’s about now!

Bob, it will 82 degrees here in the SoCal desert within a couple of hours. I will use this great image to keep me cool…maybe I will save it for the days ahead when it will be 120! You really captured the cold here- I can feel it. You and Nikira keep me inspired practice, practice, practice. Thanks!

This is beautiful, Bob. Your use of color really captures the sense of heavy and drifted snow; thanks for sharing it! I find that I am particularly partial to your snow and winter scenes.

Good heavens Christy! 82-102 degrees. I don’t think that’s ever been reached in Scotland. Maybe we should share our temperature levels so we can get some sort of average between the two countries
Glad you like this and I really appreciate the kind sentiments

You are most welcome Stephanie. I really like attempting snow scenes which is just as well considering our recent weather. Hope you like the next one as well.

Bob — 120!!! degrees it gets to be here in the desert at times in May-August!! I will keep a copy of this painting to place upon my brow! I’ll box up and send you some heat — it won’t be long.

Quick, find my heavy wool sweater and hat. Our dear Uncle has begun to create snow scenes which are going to be felt as well as seen.

Ha Ha! You don’t need a sweater and hat at the moment. We are experiencing incredible storms here in Scotland. I would welcome some more snow as it might just replace the rain and high winds

oops.. I mean “COLD” garden! My fingers were frozen and I couldn’t type the “c”.
Uncle Bob 11:45 am on January 4, 2012 | #
You’re correct Margie. Its old AND cold. That Pampass Grass in the middle – Cortoderia Argentia, is around 20 years old and gets hacked back annually. Maybe when Christy’s heat arrives it will feel warmer
