  Very nice. This is instantly recognisable – not, I hasten to add, because I have been there but my son has and he sent me a card which shows the curved building next to the sea. Must be the iconic view of Dubrovnik.

  Thank you UB my grandson. One day your granddaddy might take you there to see it for yourself. That oval building is a tower which is the part of the huge defense wall encompassing the whole old town. Beauty of it is that within those walls the time has stopped. Nothing seems touched and spoiled by modern influences. There are a couple more cities like that and some of them I tried to depict – with results already posted or just about to be posted.

  Wonderful view and celebrated white surrounded by deep blues. I also hope one lucky day to see it in reality.
