Along the shore of Greenlake in Seattle, Washington a tree hangs over the water, its branches dipping down into the lake.

Welcome to Skineart, photomatto. As another who loves anything to do with trees, I appreciate this post. Was the trunk of this specimen broken? The reason I ask is I did a similar painting, a while ago, of a tree lying across a local canal and the local foresters were cutting it up to clear the water. I was a bit saddened to realise that, by counting the rings, it started life around the same time as my late father. Good to see folks, though, studying their surroundings and painting the scenes. More please.

Thank you for the nice welcome. It looked as though the tree fell into the lake. It was strange how the one side closest to the water had all the branches and the other side was bare of branches. Not sure if that was natural or done on purpose. I’ll post more soon!
