Forest Murmurs – Inktense
Just an experiment to see how far I can push the vividness of Inktense Blocks. I think the answer is, “quite far”.

You’ve spent this year’s portion of paint on this. Now the time to save again. Nice one though… Are those grayish radial rays paper wrinkles or brushed wash?

Believe it or not, Intense is a great medium for a Scotsman. I put a tiny amount of water in a small container (I use plastic tops for bottles)then run the brush against the required Inktense colour before dipping it in the water. I do this a few time to build up the strength of the mix and that’s good enough to “paint” with. I, therefore, use a minuscule amount of my colours. (Music to my ears). There are videos on You Tube, such as this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDb5Pqb3uu0 which show how little colour is needed from the blocks. Its the same if you use Inktense pencils but the blocks cover areas quicker. I reckon my Inktense stuff will outlive me.

PS The radial lines are meant to be there but the paper DID wrinkle with the wetting
