Ooo, I remember those things. I can here the sound right now. We lived in Texas for 6 years while I was in grade school and I miss it.

I love everything about this and I hope I’m not taking liberties with your art when i admit it is my new computer wallpaper. I will respect your wishes if you want me to delete it! I love the color palette and the combination of elements – so gorgeous. We have cicadas too in PA – they nest (pupate? whatever) underneath the pine trees and come out in the summer – we see and hear them constantly!
