The old Manse, Wilkieston – Watercolour

This old building sits about one mile north of the small village of Wilkieston which is about two miles from our house. As you can see there are lots of farms around and the Glebe, the traditional land given to the minister is that surrounding the house. The strange thing is the church is further down the steep hill which sort of isolated the minister from his congregation. These days the church is a childrens nursery school while the old manse is a private house
