I love it Uncle Bob. But, tell me please (and forgive my poor knowledge of English): how could water possibly be dry?

Nothing wrong with your use of English, Grandpa. I didn’t realise I had written this until various folks, including yourself, pointed this out. The only thing I can say, in mitigation, is I used to use phrases like this when I was teaching, to ensure the youngsters were paying attention. My favourite, when they were too loud, was “Silence, when you are speaking to me!” Worked every time.
